Why a Book Fair?
Scholastic Book Fairs are a very lucrative event for a school library. The profit at the Book Fair dictates the percent of commission. The more money we make at the Fair, the higher the percentage in commission we receive. This commission is used to purchase a variety of books and resources from the fair for our library. The bulk of our junior and junior fiction are purchased from Scholastic using our commission. Family Event Draw: There is a Family Event Ballot on the Book Fair flyer that will come home with your child(ren). If you accompany your child to the Book Fair and make a purchase, your child will be entered into the draw. The winner of the draw will receive $25.00 in free books from the fair. Also . . . the winner’s teacher will also win $25.00 in free books for the classroom!!! It’s win, win! Volunteers: I would love some help during the Book Fair this year! It is a very hectic week and I often have to step away to go teach some classes. If you are free to volunteer for a Wednesday or Thursday morning or afternoon, please contact me [email protected].
